The Since 1991 the MV district of the DARC has issued this award to all licensed radio amateuers and swls who have fulfilled the following conditions in the period from Juli 1st 00:00 UTC to Juli 31st 23:59 UTC:

     EU-applicants   15 points, of it 3-DL points
     DX-applicants   10 points, of it 1-DL point
     VHF-applicants  5 Points, max. one DL station, one station from MVP counts 1 points
     Connections via active reflectors (relays, balloon converter, satellites) are not counted

Count:
A QSO with a station from the DARC district Mecklenburg-West Pomerania
(DOK  Vxx  additional Z87, Z89, MCM, MVP, SOP, YLV) counts 3 points,
all other German stations up to a max. of three count one point each.
QSOs with stations from the following countries and districts also give one point each.

There are no band and modes with restrictions. Starting from 1992 SOP-Award we issue SOP-Stickers (small pennons) for re-fulfilling the award conditions again. The SOP pennant is pentagonal and multicolored; 22 cm wide and 33 cm long. The sticker is about 7 cm wide and 10 cm long. As a bonus after reaching the SOP 5-times, the applicant also receives a special sticker (free of charge), after 10 times a diploma. Further diplomas are awarded for 20, 25 and 30 years.
